Old-age and disability pensions are indexed each year. The value of the valuation index depends, among other things, on the level of inflation. In 2022, it is 14.4% in the case of the national inflation rate. pension inflation – 14.8%. The higher rate of inflation index is used for notation.
For 2022, pension inflation becomes critical. In addition, the indicator is based on the real increase in wages in the economy in a given year. We will have this data in February. Data for the third quarter of 2022 shows that wages fell (the increase was 12%, inflation was 13.1%). If the downward trend continues in the fourth quarter, the wage index will simply not be taken into account, and the final increase in pensions will be based solely on pension inflation, which would mean an increase of 14.8 percent.
