“Avengers: Secret Wars” – what do we know about the movie?
“Avengers: Secret Wars” will end Phase 6 of the MCU and will also be the conclusion of the Multiverse Saga. Initially, it was scheduled to premiere in November 2025. The Hollywood strike, as well as domestic violence charges against Jonathan Majors, who was supposed to play Kang, the heroes' antagonist, led to the premiere being significantly postponed. Currently, “Avengers: Secret Wars” (or at least Part 1, if reports about story split plans are confirmed) is scheduled to arrive in theaters on May 7, 2027.
Of course, the film's plot remains secret. However, we can guess that screenwriter Michael Waldron (creator of “Loki” and “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”) will be inspired by a series of comics under the same title published in 1984-1985. Superheroes and villains from the Marvel Universe are transported to the planet Battle World located in a galaxy far, far away. As the Polish publisher writes, this is the place A composite of many elements that reference various events, places and times from Marvel's rich comic book history. The remnants of the heroes must confront a god and their self-appointed ruler to regain at least some of what they lost.
