On Orthodox Christmas, a monstrous crime took place in Volgograd. A 42-year-old man was killed after an altercation over a woman. Then the executioner cut off part of his body under the pretext that he wanted to eat it. It fell into the hands of the services, because at the same time it flooded the neighbors.
Orthodox Christmas lasts three days. January 7 is the birth of Jesus, January 8 is the feast of the Mother of God, and January 9 is the memory of the first martyr – St. Peter. Stefan. So, Christmas Eve falls on January 6th. It was then that tragedy occurred in Volgograd.
The case is described, among other things, by the Novosti Volgorada portal. According to the report of the regional Ministry of Emergencies, “on the night of January 6-7, a man came to his neighbor and his concubine. The feast began,” – we read in the statement. During the celebration, the participants in the meeting drank alcohol.
Quarreling and killing out of jealousy
During the night, men were supposed to fight over a woman. Meanwhile, I left the apartment. Then, as we read in the portal’s report, a 47-year-old man stabbed his neighbor in the stomach and chest out of jealousy. The 42-year-old succumbed to his injuries.
But the killer did not stop there. He decided to butcher the victim’s body. Cut off part of the dead man’s buttocks with a knife.
Novosti Fulgorada reported that later, during his testimony, he stated that he wanted to eat the severed parts of a neighbor’s body.
He fell inside because he flooded the neighbors
The killer did not manage to hide the victim’s body. At about the same time, he turned on the water in the tub. He was too drunk to notice when the bathtub overflowed.
– He forgot to turn off the water in the bathroom and overwhelmed the neighbors who came to see what was going on. Seeing the bloody scene, they immediately called the police, said Ruslan Kapetanchuk, deputy head of the investigation department of the Investigative Committee of the Volgograd Region.

The killer tried to escape from the officers who arrived at the scene, but was soon caught. The court has not yet decided on the arrest. However, the services reported that he was a repeat offender and that he had spent many years in prison in the past.
