The sad news was posted on Friday by the Association of Polish Filmmakers on Facebook. Voice operator Barbara Domaradzka died on October 19 at the age of 70. The cause of death has not been announced.
Fantastic sound cinematographer, longtime member of Polish Filmmakers Association. She has worked in the audio department for nearly a hundred feature films, TV series, and several documentaries – SFP reported in a social media post.
Barbara Domaradzka wrote in large letters on the pages of the history of Polish cinema. Her death is a great loss for the Polish film industry. The products on which Domaradzka worked as an audio engineer are known and loved by all.
The operator has collaborated with many respected characters in the Polish film, with Władysław Pasikowski, Jan Jakub Kolski, Małgorzata Szumowska and Mariusz Treliński, among others.

Domaradzka’s work has been repeatedly appreciated by film connoisseurs. In 1991, the cinematographer was awarded the Golden Gdańsk Lion for Best Sound for “Diabły, devils”, and in 1993 for “Farewell to Maria”. In 2013, she was awarded a small eagle figurine for the movie “Manhunt”.
Barbara Domaradzka’s funeral will take place on Wednesday, October 26 12:30 in the Catholic part of the old cemetery in the Mujahideen. Ogrodowa 39 in ódź.
