The total amounted to exactly 7005.76 PLN – Reported to the Central Statistical Office (GUS). This represents an annual increase of 13.8%. and decreased (for seasonal reasons) by 1.7%. compared to the first quarter.
This reading turned out to be significantly lower than the average quarterly salary in the enterprise sector (this is a narrower range of data from the national economy, relating to firms that employ at least ten people), which in the second quarter The total amounted to approximately 7,320 PLN.
Consumer price index inflation in the second quarter averaged 13.1% year on year, and compared to the first three months of this year, consumer prices increased by 1.9%. This means that average prices for consumer goods and services grew slower/faster year-on-year than average nominal wages in the second quarter. For comparison, the consumer price index in June was 11.5 percent. every year.
Let’s remember that in June the average gross salary in the enterprise sector (companies with at least ten employees) was 7,000 PLN. PLN 335, which means an increase of 11.9% year on year. In July, according to preliminary data, consumer prices rose 10.8% year-on-year, and a decline to about 8% is likely at the end of the year.
