For the third time in the history of the European Cups, San Marino FC qualified for the next round. This achievement was achieved by La Fiorita, who beat Belarusian Isovice Minsk on penalties.
The first meeting between the two teams ended with a 1-0 win for Minsk. The return match was played on neutral ground. In the 87th minute, Italian Jacopo Semprini made up for the loss. Extra time did not lead to a result, and in the penalty shootout Montegiardino – a Sanmarine town with a population of less than a thousand people – turned out to be the better team.

San Marino thus recorded the third promotion for the local club to the next stage. Tre Fiori had previously managed to do so twice, in 2018 they beat Bala Town in Wales, and two years ago they were the better side than Fola Esch from Luxembourg.
