The unfortunate events occurred during the WTA Championships in Budapest. The 45th racket of the world Shuai Zhang cried on the court and lost the match after the referee made a number of decisions in the match against Amarisa Kiara Toth that were unfavorable to the Chinese lady. Zhang’s rival added fuel to the fire…
Zhang was the No. 2 seed in the Hungarian capital and faced a wildcard in the first round. However, the representative of the hosts, Amarisa Chiara Toth, was not going to sell her skin cheaply, and in the first set she tied with the Chinese 5: 5. There was a scandal in one of the actions of the eleventh game.

Zhang hit the ball perfectly on the line, but the referee, for reasons known only to herself, called the hit an out. Despite the apparent implication that the referee had checked herself, the point went to the Hungarian account. Zhang argued for justice for a long time, but the judge was adamant.
In addition to this situation, Toth erased the footprint of the ball after a moment. Zhang caught her attention, but the Hungarian woman only laughed sarcastically. The young tennis player amused the hosts and the audience with the behavior of the Chinese woman, who could not accept the situation.
In the end, the nervous Zhang lost her service game and sat down on a chair full of emotions. Tears were welling up in the eyes of the 45th-ranked player. The Chinese woman called a physiotherapist, and after a while she gave up the match, shaking hands with the judge and the opponent. Toth was again unable to act in the situation, as she was above average happy with the scandalous win, and was echoed by the local crowd.
The next tournament Zhang will appear in will be the BNP Paribas Poland Open in Warsaw. The event will take place next week at the Legia Warsaw stadiums, and participation in it will include, among other things. Iga Swiatek.
