According to rumors in Avengers: Secret Wars We will definitely see Deadpool, Wolverine and over 60 other characters. During an interview to promote the show Avengers: Secret WarsMarvel and MCU president Kevin Feige was asked about reconciling Deadpool’s R rating (content not recommended for anyone under 17) with his PG-13 appearances in Marvel movies (some scenes may be inappropriate for children under 13). Is this possible? Although the journalist didn’t explicitly say he was asking about the Avengers, everyone, including Feige, knows that this is likely where we’ll see the fearless mercenary for the first time alongside other MCU heroes.
Deadpool with the Avengers
Not only was Kevin Feige sure it could be done well, he may have already thought about it.
– Of course it is. That’s the fun of comics, anyone can show up anywhere. The fun of these kinds of Marvel team-up stories is that they’re always characters that don’t fit together. I remember I was doing interviews for Iron Man 2. People knew that Thor was in production and we had plans for The Avengers. So the questions were, “How can the Norse god Thor be in a scene with Tony Stark? How is that supposed to work?” I always responded the same way: This is this kind of movie and the idea of putting people on screen who should never get together and work together.
So you can safely assume that Deadpool will meet the MCU heroes. Will it only be in 2027? Avengers 6It’s possible Marvel has plans for something sooner.
Avengers 5 and 6 It is likely to be directed by the Russo Brothers. Confirmation was likely received on July 27 during Marvel’s panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2024. A rumor emerged from the Puck website, claiming that Kevin Feige turned down two directors: Greg Berlanti (2010’s Green Lantern, Take Me to the Moon) and Noah Hawley (TV series Fargo and Legion).
