She defeated her friend. Aryna Sabalenka continues to play in Miami

Aryna Sabalenka won her first match during this year's edition of the WTA Tour at the Miami Open. After about an hour and a half of play, the Belarusian defeated her friend Paula Badosa 6:4, 6:3.

It is worth noting that although Sabalenka and Badosa faced off in the second round of the tournament in Miami, it was the first match during this year's tournament for a player from Belarus. The runner-up in the rankings received a “free ticket” from the organizers. But the Spaniard had to defeat Simona Halep earlier.

It must be emphasized that it was a special match for both players. Tennis players do not hide the fact that they are good friends a secret. This can be proven by the fact that they often post photos together on social media.

In the first set, Sabalenka won the match without any major problems. The Belarusian tennis player needed only one break to win the match. In the next part of this match, the 25-year-old also dominated the field. She won her opponent's serve game twice, allowing her to advance to the next stage of the competition in Miami.

We already know who will be the next opponent for the world's number two racket. In the third round of this year's tournament in the United States, Anhelina will face Kalinina Sabalenka.
