The Guinness Book of Records has been filled with many world records for years, which has impressed many people. However, there are still quite unusual records, such as those for the longest female beard, which are currently held by 38-year-old Erin Honeycutt from Michigan in the United States.
Erin Honeycutt entered the Guinness Book of Records on February 8, 2023 as the owner of the longest female beard in the world It measures up to 30 cm. Then she defeated her predecessor, 75-year-old Vivian Wheeler, whose chin length is 26 cm.
However, the 38-year-old is not a very healthy person. As a teenager, when she noticed her beard growing, she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, which resulted in her suffering from hirsutism (excessive male-pattern hair) and virilization (increased muscle mass, altered voice, and male body type).

Erin Honeycutt was ashamed of “The Other” for many years. The growing beard, which she regularly tried to shed in her adult life, made it difficult for her to accept herself and relate to others. Everything changed when she met the love of her life, wife Jane, and stopped caring about the opinion of strangers. Realizing the extent of the problem Irene is in, Jane convinces her to accept herself and put on a beard.
