Simple Project and Brian Adams at the Hot Air Balloon Festival

Team Simple Plan, Bryan Adams, Charlotte Cordin and Avril Lavigne will be among the headliners of the Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu Hot Air Balloon Festival next summer.

The organization released its program at the end of the day on Wednesday for the seven days of the festival, which will be held from August 9 to 11 and 15 to 18.

Star Academy's first batch of singers will kick off the festival with a performance of “And It's Not Finished” on Friday August 9, followed by Bryan Adams on Saturday and Matt Long on Sunday.

Next weekend, Simple Plan on Thursday August 15th, Charlotte Cardin on the 16th, Avril Lavigne on the 17th, and Ludovic Bourgeois rounding off the festival with a show around the BB repertoire.

Additionally, comedian Mathieu Dufour will reprise his role as festival spokesperson.

“This festival is an integral part of our Quebec culture and it's a privilege to help highlight it. It perfectly embodies the festive spirit we love in Quebec during the summer, and I can't wait to celebrate with festival-goers and meet them on site,” the major party commented in a press release.

Also, the festival has partnered with Loto-Québec, becoming the official host of the event for the next three editions.
