Fatal news for Polish Speedway clubs. On Wednesday, some activists learned about the penalties for implementing the training regulations. This group includes centers that have been praised for their work with young people. CEOs are talking about the scandal.
It should be noted at the outset that the presidents received information about the sanctions at the beginning of this year. Most of them decided to appeal immediately and were confident that their applications would be accepted. However, this will not happen. Many activists are angry about this situation.
For example, a fine of 350,000 PLN was given to Arged Malesa, which was taken as a model in the training procedure for years. The coach of this team, Mariusz Staszewski, is one of the best professionals in the country. Many youngsters came from under his hand, who were making remarkable progress year after year. Ostrowian is also certainly defended by numbers. Arged Malesa currently has seven juniors in the 500cc class, four in the 250cc class and three juniors in the club. They all have a license.
– We don’t spend nearly 2 million zlotys on training until I pay another 350,000 zlotys for this pleasure. I do not intend to pay the penalty and as a club we will not, – the indignant President Waldemar Gorski tells us directly.
Marcin Murawski, President of ZOOleszcz GKM, does not hide his bitterness. The residents of Grudziądz have been focused on training for a long time, and recently they are starting to reap the benefits of this, because the youth helped the club finally win matches on the tracks of the PGE Ekstraliga.

– We got about 100,000 fines. It’s a lot. We are surprised because we are training at such a high level. You recently said in your magazine that we spend PLN 1.5 million a year. In June, we organized 36 training sessions in 30 days. Also, the rewards compared to the penalties are very low. I honestly admit that after this information, everything went away – confirms the club president from Grudziądz.
The head of ebut.pl Stali, Waldemar Sadowski, is also shocked by the information about the sanctions. Gorzów’s president is the only one who does not give the amount of penalty his club received, but he assures us that it is very large and a big deal. This news hit me like a bolt from the sky. I don’t quite know what to do with it. I didn’t expect that at all.”
It should be noted, however, that the list of sanctioned clubs is much longer. We hear from the bosses that even Fogo Unia Leszno, which is known for its excellent work with young people, has been in this group for a very long time.
Let’s add that so far we have not been able to get a comment from representatives of the PZM on this issue.
