Rory Schlein announced the end of his career before the start of the 2020 season. The Australian, who has raced in the Polish league for clubs from Rybnik, Wrocław, Grudziądz, Ostrów, Daugavpils and ód, was scheduled to take place on October 18. Interestingly enough, Schlein was by no means the last in his career. His Poole Pirates will face off in the Championship (Second Division) and Knockout Cup.
The cast has been included, among others recent winners of the Speedway of Nations, such as Daniel Bewley and Tom Brennan. In addition, players such as Jason Crump and Chris Harris appeared in the starting roster. Jason Doyle and Scott Nichols pulled out at the last minute.
The competition was fought at Wolverhampton for four places, awarded with a promotion to the finals. Championship host, Rory Schlein, showed off a successful run and secured his entry in the crucial race thanks to his victory in the final round.

On the main round, Luke Baker was nearly flawless. The American performed brilliantly at home at Wolverhampton – impressed by his starts and speed across distances. Aside from him and Shaleen, Ryan Douglas and Daniel King also entered the final.
In the final, Daniel King and Luke Becker fell. The race was stopped – both competitors returned to the machinery arena on their own, but the damaged component of the inflatable rink had to be repaired. The American did not leave to repeat, because he felt the effects of the collapse. The British, in turn, rose to the occasion and won. Tournament host – Rory Schlein – came third.
