Early 2024 performance revealed thanks to Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC benchmark tests. The results were shockingly high. Are we facing a ‘hot’ flagship year again?
May 1 turned out to be a real mine of leaks about new processors. First we heard about Qualcomm’s troubling division of production. Later, the capabilities of the Exynos 2500 hit the net – for a change, they’re impressive. The performance is left for dessert Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This SoC will power all major ships from late 2023 and early 2024. What can we count on?
Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 reveals performance in benchmarks
We all love the AnTuTu rating, by all criteria this is the most transparent. Most of you know more or less what a particular result means. If not – see the ranking of mobile processors. actually? Well let’s go. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 is said to score 1.7 million points in AnTuTu. This is a defeat against the previous generation of flagship SoCs.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 also managed to score 2563 and 7256 points in Geekbench 6 (single and multi-core respectively). For comparison, the flagship SoCs of the current generation ask for about 2 and 5 and a half thousand points (one and several cores, respectively). So progress is very important. Of course, half a year before the premiere, there is nothing to set fire to, because numbers alone are not everything.
2022 clearly showed that. The results were great too, but so what, because the performance over time was minimal, stuffy An entire generation of flagships was slaughtered, and the battery life was disappointing. We’ll see how Qualcomm has dealt with energy saving issues this year. Given that the SD8G3 will be made on the same technological process, such a leap looks a bit suspicious.
