Starminer (formerly ILL Space) is a new game in the Paradox Arc catalog. CoolandGoodGames’ space mining simulator is headed to early access.

The creators describe their work as follows: “Realistic base building simulation in space.”
- The game will take place in real time, and players will pilot a giant warship between asteroids, collect raw materials, conduct research to increase mining efficiency, and undertake missions as hired mercenaries.
- As the project expands, the “heat signature” of the player’s fleet will increase, which at some point will lead to this Clashes with aliens, from which you will have to defend yourself with the help of self-designed units.
The developer posted an entry on steam, where he not only announced the name change and publisher acquisition, but also shared additional details about the game and its future. Regarding the latter, we only learned that the creators will continue to put community feedback first (a separate tool available in the game has been set up to collect it).
Starminer It will arrive in early access on PC in 2024.
He has been interested in video games (and not just video games) for many years, and completed his Master’s degree in Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw with a thesis dedicated to this topic. He started his adventure with Gry-Online.pl in 2015, where he wrote for the Games Newsroom, and then also for the Film and Technology Newsroom (he also contributed to the Games Encyclopedia). He started out with platformers and is still a huge fan of them to this day (including Metroidvanias), but he’s also interested in card games (including card games), fighting games, Soulslikes and basically anything gaming related. Don’t ask about graphics issues – after a few hours the author can admire pixel characters from games dating back to the Game Boy era (if not older).
