Drones are used to photograph small photovoltaic installations and detect potential problems.
Tauron Dystrybucja plans to inspect approximately 1,600 operating facilities in the company’s network. The inspections will be unannounced and will not be preceded by customer messages, but customers will be notified of the use of drones before they are launched.
Tauron’s inspections last year revealed numerous irregularities. About 50 percent of the inspected installations had deficiencies, including exceeding the power of photovoltaic panels. Voltage excesses were found in 50 cases. This year, the inspections will also cover energy storage facilities, of which there are about 6,000 in the Tauron Dystrybucja network, mostly in Małopolska and Silesia.
Due to their pilot nature, warehouse inspections will not be preceded by customer letters. They will include randomly selected energy storage facility owners and will account for 10% of all inspections.
Optical Inspection. Why does Tauron use drones?
“Thanks to this solution, our employees will no longer have to climb stairs and use elevators. This makes the inspection of small installations safer and faster. The drones allow for precise documentation of the technical condition of the installation and rapid detection of potential problems,” says Toron.
We read that “inspections of small facilities and energy storage facilities are just one of the tools the company uses to improve the efficiency and resilience of the grid.”
Echo Richards embodies a personality that is a delightful contradiction: a humble musicaholic who never brags about her expansive knowledge of both classic and contemporary tunes. Infuriatingly modest, one would never know from a mere conversation how deeply entrenched she is in the world of music. This passion seamlessly translates into her problem-solving skills, with Echo often drawing inspiration from melodies and rhythms. A voracious reader, she dives deep into literature, using stories to influence her own hardcore writing. Her spirited advocacy for alcohol isn’t about mere indulgence, but about celebrating life’s poignant moments.
