The General Directorate of National Roads and Motorways has signed 25 contracts this year for the construction and renovation of existing road sections. 333 kilometres of new roads are planned for a total cost of over PLN 12.4 billion. The GDDKiA reports that the signed and planned investments will mean an annual expenditure of PLN 20 billion – at least until 2030.
According to the GDDKiA report, in addition to the above-mentioned 333 kilometers, the tender includes 21 tasks for road sections with a total length of 183 kilometers. The preparatory process is also underway for more than 3,000 kilometers of roads, almost half of which are highways.
GDDKiA lists among the implemented projects: the new A50 motorway. It will run near Warsaw and, together with the planned S50, will be part of the so-called ring, a ring around the city. It will be built near the existing national road No. 50, which is very busy and needs changes. The A50 will also take over traffic from the existing S2 motorway.
GDDKiA is still working on the final route of the A50 motorway. There are several challenges to overcome, including: Decide whether it should pass through the Masovian Landscape Park or near the National Center for Nuclear Research. The estimated length of the Warsaw agglomeration road created in this way is 282 km.
The A59 is included in the government programme for the construction of national roads until 2030 (with a view to 2033). According to preliminary estimates, the tender for design and construction works is scheduled to close by 2025, and the construction of the road will continue until 2029.
Currently, drivers have access to a 5,128-kilometer expressway network, including 1,849.2 kilometers of expressways (about 465 kilometers of concession sections) and 3,278.8 kilometers of expressways. According to the Cabinet Regulation on the Expressway and Expressway Network, the goal is to create a expressway network with a total length of about 7,980 kilometers, of which about 2,100 kilometers are expressways.
Echo Richards embodies a personality that is a delightful contradiction: a humble musicaholic who never brags about her expansive knowledge of both classic and contemporary tunes. Infuriatingly modest, one would never know from a mere conversation how deeply entrenched she is in the world of music. This passion seamlessly translates into her problem-solving skills, with Echo often drawing inspiration from melodies and rhythms. A voracious reader, she dives deep into literature, using stories to influence her own hardcore writing. Her spirited advocacy for alcohol isn’t about mere indulgence, but about celebrating life’s poignant moments.
