Another on-screen return from the afterlife awaits us. Announcing the sequel to the horror movie “Pet Sematary,” based on Stephen King’s book, it received its release date and the first photos from the set. The film, titled Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, will be a prequel to the story and will appear exclusively on the Paramount+ streaming platform.

What do we know about the movie “Pet Sematary: Bloodlines”?

The film is set in 1969. Young Jude Crandall (the character played by John Lithgow in the 2019 film) wants to pursue his dream and leave his hometown of Ludlow. The city’s dark secrets, as well as his ancestors, prevent him from leaving home forever. Judd gathers his childhood friends to battle an ancient and powerful evil that has haunted Ludlow since the town’s founding.

They were on the film crew Jackson White (“Ambulance”), Forest Goodluck (“accused”), Jack Mulhern (“kill the pain”), Henry Thomas (“Mass of the Night”), Natalie Alyn Lind (“The sky is big”), Isabella Starr LablancAnd Pam Greer And David Duchovny.

Bloodlines is directed by newcomer Lindsey Beerwho co-wrote the screenplay with Jeff Poehler.

It will premiere on Paramount+ in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Brazil 6 October. And a day later, the movie will be available to the rest of the world. In Poland, we will probably see it on SkyShowtime.

“Pet Sematary” – the plot of the film

Pet Sematary tells the story of Dr. Louis Creed, who moves from Boston to the county of Maine with his wife and two young children. Soon after the hero moves in, he finds a mysterious tomb hidden deep in the forest. When tragedy strikes the family, Louis turns to his slightly quirky neighbor for help. Their joint discovery will have horrific consequences.
