It’s a long way to go for a ‘Beetlejuice’ sequel

The original 1988 film was about a young couple who died but are kept trapped in their home as ghosts. The house, unfortunately, has been sold, and the new owners have made changes that the couple strongly dislike. The ghosts decide to call in the obnoxious, intrusive, and annoying Beetle Juice to get rid of the unwanted inhabitants.

The Beetlejuice cult continued to work for more than three decades. The project was closer to implementation in 2013-2015. In 2015, Winona Ryder joined the cast, and filming was allegedly set to begin in a few months.

In 2016, Tim Burton denied interest in making the film. Three years ago, we received information that Warner Bros. Don’t abandon the project and hire another screenwriter. Rumors about the project returned in 2021, but it ended there.

Now it looks almost certain that the movie will be made.
