The Last of Us 2 Remastered was a huge hit on PlayStation. It promises to be one of the best rated games of 2024

It's no big surprise – The Last of Us Part II Remastered has been reviewed by top journalists and editors from many regions of the world and they praise the comprehensive version of the famous production that debuted in the previous generation. Fans of the series can prepare for great fun.

There will be no shortage of great games in 2024, but how many projects will achieve an average rating above 90%? Ellie's updated adventure is the first production to achieve this result, but given the success of The Last of Us Part II, this shouldn't come as a huge surprise.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered has excellent scores (91% on Opencritic and 90 on Metacritic) – These are slightly worse results than the original release (93% on Opencritic and 93 on Metacritic), but let's remember the circumstances of the announcement and the many negative feelings that the collection aroused. Thus, Naughty Dog can talk about another success.

Journalists appreciate the new version's abundance of additional content, improved graphics and powerful use of the capabilities of the DualSense controller. The story still touches your heart, and No Return is a mode worth buying the entire game for, or at least upgrading. Thanks to additional comments, the developers are revealing a lot of details about the process of creating The Last of Us Part II, and the unfinished levels provide a lot of information about what else we can see in the game.

What items didn't work? The Last of Us Part II Remastered is not a game for everyone, and at the same time we should not count on a graphics revolution. In less positive reviews, you will find mentions that the (additional) content provided is not enough to create a now updated version, and some editors mention the lack of new gameplay elements.
