Embracer Group acquired the rights to the “Lord of the Rings” and “Hobbit” trademarks, while willingly sharing the opportunity to develop intellectual property. Weta Workshop is a team given the opportunity to tell a story in the world of JRR Tolkien.

Already in 2021 we may encounter rumours, while a year later we received official confirmation that the Weta Workshop games division has accepted the challenge of creating an item set in the Lord of the Rings universe. Tales of the Shire: Lord of the Rings is coming to consoles and PC – the game will debut next year, but we haven’t received any details yet. The published teaser does not allow us to look at even the smallest elements of the item.
