Donald Tusk's government was scheduled to reach an agreement with the president on the exchange of ambassadors. Andrzej Duda spoke about this with Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in December last year – he calls “GW”.
Recently, Andrzej Duda dismissed Andrzej Sadoch from the position of Poland's Permanent Representative to the European Union. The president reportedly announced that he had no intention of preventing further changes in diplomatic missions.
Andrzej Duda has spread a protective umbrella over his former colleagues
However, Gazeta Wyborcza's diplomatic source indicates that some institutions are headed by former collaborators of Andrzej Duda. According to the newspaper's findings, the president expects that they will not be replaced.
The “list of outcasts” includes: the Polish Ambassador to the Holy See, Adam Kwiatkowski, and the Polish Ambassador to the United Nations, Krzysztof Szczerski, who were previously heads of the President's Chancellery.
Andrzej Duda was also supposed to spread a “protective umbrella” over the Polish ambassador to China, Jakub Komuč, and the Polish ambassador to Romania, Pawel Soloch. The first was the head of the President's Office of International Affairs, and the second was the head of the Office of National Security.
The president is also supposed to protect Marek Majerowski, former director of the presidential press office. According to GW information, he is likely to lose the position of Polish ambassador to the United States, but will be transferred to a position in another – less famous – country.
