We knew we’d have to wait a little longer for the movie at the end of July, when the world premiere of “Poor Creatures” was postponed to December 8. The film is based on Alasdair Gray’s 1992 novel of the same name, and tells the story of Bella Baxter, who is brought back to life by a mad scientist (played by Willem Defoe), but given the brain of a young child. The woman escapes into the world with a “shady” lawyer (Mark Ruffalo).
