Kamil Celik wrote on Instagram: “I have been at the bottom many times, but I have never been humiliated in this way.” It happened right after the match of the last round of the Ekstraklasa. Cracovia lost in Chorzów to Ruch 0:2.

No one really knew what it was. This is how the former president of the Polish Football Association, Zbigniew Boniek, explained it on Roman Colton’s “Prauda Futbolo” program: “Yesterday he came to the locker room, and he had such a strong grudge against the players that they probably agreed.” It was to their advantage, and the club lost PLN 400,000 because of it. “It seems to me that it alienated the whole locker room, everyone.” (…) “Maybe some people thought it could have been arranged, for some. For some reason, a match for the cones, it wasn’t important, it was prestigious.”
In fact, Krakow had secured its position earlier, and Roche fell. If Cracovia had won, they would have jumped over Puszcza Niepołomice and instead of 13th place, they would have finished 12th.
The President of Krakow responds to Boniek’s allegations
We asked Mateusz Drozdz, President of Krakow, for comment.
— I have the impression that part of society is trying to attack me, but this is complete nonsense. After the match with Roche, we talked like men, but there were no arguments about tampering or selling the match – President Drudds assures us.
So what was the talk?
– The coach spoke first, then me. I said, of course in men’s words, that if we wanted to create a winning gene, Krakow could not lose such games. We have to give it our all, even when we play against a newcomer, adds Dróżdż.
He points out categorically that Bonnick’s explanation is absurd. – After all this conversation, we took a picture together and shook hands. He adds: I spoke with Kamel and this story is ridiculous.
So what could Glick mean? Bonnick confirms that this information is 100% accurate. “When Mr. Drozdz listens to us, I ask: Why is Glik so offended? It’s easy to say something about X, I say what happened yesterday in the locker room.”
What does the president of Krakow say about this? – To be honest, I have absolutely no idea what’s going on and why someone would say such things – he says.
