The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim – A Story Told from a Women’s Point of View
The article from Anime Expo also included a statement from the director. Kenjigo KamiyameWho mentioned that women will be well represented in the film:
In Japanese animation, it is not uncommon for the main character to be a woman, but that is not the case in live-action films based on The Lord of the Rings. In our film, Hera plays the main female role, and the narrator of the story is Tolkien’s noble character Eowyn, so women are represented very well. I think there are a lot of people who love Tolkien’s original work, so I hope those people will enjoy our work. Filming this film was an interesting challenge.
