We associate the title “Interview With the Vampire” well thanks to the 1994 movie, which starred a host of stars, including Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, and young Kirsten Dunst. This time, Lestata will play Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, associated with “Game of Thrones” will play Louis, and Bailey Bass will play Claudia, a child vampire.
The first season of “Interview with the Vampire” on AMC will consist of eight episodes. Showcase of the series is Rolin Jones (“Perry Mason”), and the first two episodes are directed by Alan Taylor (“Game of Thrones”). In addition to these runways, the cast will also appear in supporting roles: Eric Bogosian, Calin Coleman, Christian Robinson, and Asaad Zaman.
Not much is known about the plot itself – it is not clear whether the creators will change it much from the book’s narrative. Executive Producer Mark Johnson, however, said in an interview that they are approaching the adaptation with “a great deal of responsibility,” and they hope to awaken a passion for Anne Rice’s masterpieces.
