According to data obtained by FACT, the denunciations relate to leasing properties, running businesses illegally, employing employees without a contract, not having a cash register, selling goods without a receipt, invoice or bill, and verifying sources of ownership.
Who writes to the tax office? Most often, these are store customers, entrepreneurs’ contractors, employees, and family members (such as ex-spouses).
– This distribution indicates the diversity of social and economic contexts in which violations are reported, emphasizing the complexity of this phenomenon and the emotions that accompany it – says Mikhail Deros, spokesman for the IAS from Lublin, in an interview with “Fakt”.
On holidays, the number of reports increases.
The Tax Office receives most signals about violations in March and April.This has to do with annual settlements.
– The content of the reports gives the impression that they are often written by family members or close friends. The moment when we receive the largest number of these messages depends on the region. In general, we notice more of them on holidays, but in Podhale this moment falls on the period: holidays, vacations and long weekends. – Magda Kobus from IAS in Krakow tells the “truth”.
