Many people from all over the world who participated in 8-year-old Emma's experiment expect that she will become a scientist.
Little girl in the Blue Mountains – a mountain range in New South Wales, Australia. One day, I noticed an unusual behavior of a local bird – screaming – Science website reports in Poland.
Her mother encouraged her daughter to start observing the bird. The animal showed aggression towards other birds and people. He attacked them by sitting on their heads and pecking them.
For several days, the girl kept an observation journal in which she carefully recorded the bird's behavior. She and her mother also prepared a survey. It was completed by 150 local residents, but – to increase the sample – the girl's mother also posted the survey online.
The response was overwhelming – 30,000 people completed the survey. People from all over the world.
Emma asked unusual, seemingly unnecessary questions, for example: How old are they, how tall are they, what is their hairstyle, how much do they weigh, and whether they have been injured by a bird attack.
From the surveys, Emma and her mother come to completely new conclusions in the world of scientists. It turns out that cockroach attacks on humans are not random, and that birds choose specific types: men. Most often, his victims were tall, powerful men, bald or with thinning hair on the top of their heads.
These are innovative discoveries, because Until now, no one has investigated the relationship between people's appearance and screaming aggression. In addition, the large sample on which the surveys were conducted makes the research reliable enough.
After her success in the world of birds, Emma's teacher encouraged the girl to participate in a mathematics competition. The teacher was sure that thanks to the 8-year-old's unconventional thinking, he had a good chance of winning. And he wasn't wrong – Emma beat all the students in her age group.
Echo Richards embodies a personality that is a delightful contradiction: a humble musicaholic who never brags about her expansive knowledge of both classic and contemporary tunes. Infuriatingly modest, one would never know from a mere conversation how deeply entrenched she is in the world of music. This passion seamlessly translates into her problem-solving skills, with Echo often drawing inspiration from melodies and rhythms. A voracious reader, she dives deep into literature, using stories to influence her own hardcore writing. Her spirited advocacy for alcohol isn’t about mere indulgence, but about celebrating life’s poignant moments.
