On Thursday, the penultimate stage of the 79th edition of the Tour of Bologna was held. Dutchman Thymen Arensman was victorious in the singles time trial. Sergio Higuita lost the race leader’s jersey.

The length of Thursday’s individual trial was 11.8 km. It was a demanding stage for cyclists. Gradually he led them upward, and the end was especially difficult. To achieve a good result, you had to drive really well. You could say that the time trial separated the boys from the men.
The sixth stage of the Tour de Bologna was practically the final classification for the entire race. All because on Friday we will have an episode that motorcyclists are likely to decide.
DSM’s Thymen Arensman turned out to be the best on Thursday, covering the road in 17 minutes 40 seconds. As a result, he noticed a significant improvement in the overall racing classification, jumping from twenty-fourth to second place. Magnus Sheffield lost seven seconds to Arinesmann. Ethan Hayter was eight seconds behind the winner.

Sergio Higuita lost the race leader’s jersey. The Colombian representing Bora-Hansgrohe fell six places in the rankings. After the time trial, Hayter jumped to first place, who was already considered one of the candidates for the final victory before the race.
The British champion now has an 11sec advantage over Arensman. Third place in the general classification is Belo Bilbao, who is 18 seconds behind the leader. If disaster doesn’t happen, that’s also what the podium will be like at the end of the race.
Round 79 of the Bologna Tour will end in Valsir, from Skawina to Krakow.
