In Poland, many people prefer to do their weekly shopping on weekends. For a very simple reason. This is the only time they can go out for their favorite products as a family. In an era of high prices, many consumers follow trade promotions in stores such as Lid, Biedronka, Dino or Kaufland. Poles already know very well that they can shop in supermarkets and malls only on designated Sundays. So will Sunday 23 April 2023 be a Sunday for trading? Will we be shopping in stores such as Lidl, Biedronka, Kaufland, Dino, Netto and Carrefour on Sunday, April 23, 2023? Are malls and all shops, cinemas and bowling alleys in them open on April 23, 2023? Unfortunately, depending on our Sunday business schedule, we’ll literally have to wait a while for our Sunday shopping.
Sunday trading calendar 2023
On Sunday, April 23, 2023, stores such as Lidl, Biedronka and Dino will be closed. So what will the trading calendar look like in 2023? Here are the trading days that are yet to come:

- December 17th
- December 24th
Let us remind you that the ban on trading on Sundays in Poland was introduced in 2018. Initially, the trade ban covered retail chains only on selected Sundays. As of 2020, the situation is reversed. In 2023, there are only 7 trading days in the calendar. Then it can be active supermarkets, hypermarkets and discount stores. In the rest, only small local shops and convenience stores at gas stations.
