Pawel Buchnejevic may return to the national team after a three-year break

Bochniewicz made his debut for the national team under Jerzy Brzęczek in a friendly match against Finland (5:1), in which he played one half in October 2020. Since then, he has not been called up by any of the coaches, so a potential call-up from Probers would be an opportunity for the 27-year-old to return to the national team after three years of those caps.

Buchnejevic tore the cruciate ligaments in his knee in August 2021, and for this reason he did not play throughout the 2021/2022 season. However, he returned in the previous competition to play for Dutch club Heerenveen and has since become the main defender for the team positioned in the middle of the Eredivisie table.

The Polish national team will play the next matches in November – on November 17, it will play against the Czech Republic in the last match of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, and four days later it will play a friendly match against Latvia.
