At the end of October in Kiev, the bishop of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Adrian, hit his neighbor in the stomach, bruising her body – we read in the material “Dzerkała Tyżnia”. The gate says that the cause of the accident was that she was disturbed by the barking of her dog. According to Suspilne, the clergyman has apologized for his aggressive behavior.
Police have initiated proceedings under the section relating to intentional minor bodily injury.
As Dzerkało Tyżnia asserts, the head of the Orthodox Church did not react for several days to the event, and on Tuesday, his announcement of removing the titular bishop from his ministry and duties for the duration of the investigation surfaced.
It was pointed out that the decision was made “taking into account the public testimony on which Bishop Emeritus Shpetevsky Adrian (Kolek) is being put on trial for an act for which canon law provides a severe punishment.” The Synod must deal with the matter.
And the declaration of the Orthodox Church stated that the priest violated the rules according to which bishops cannot defeat people, even if they are sinners – confirms the portal.
