Brutal attack on Ukraine. President issues devastating statements
Volodymyr Zelensky said late Monday that the death toll had risen to 37, including three children, and 170 people were injured, including 13 children, after Monday’s missile attack on Ukraine, with destruction reported in seven districts of Kyiv and three cities in the Donetsk region. The UN Security Council is due to meet on Tuesday to discuss the Russian offensive.
Ukraine’s retaliatory attack. Animated bullets
Due to the brutal attack by the Russian army, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a retaliatory attack. A message on social media read: “The revenge of the Defense Forces is already underway.”
As the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized in a telegram, the missiles had animated inscriptions – “For Akhmatdate!”, “For Ukrainian children”, “For Kiev”.
Ukrainian drone attacks
In the Belgorod region, one man was killed, two people were injured and several residential buildings were damaged, the region’s governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on Telegram. He added that in the past 24 hours, four people were killed and 20 were injured in various Ukrainian attacks.
The Ukrainian drone strikes came on the heels of Russian missile strikes on Monday, among other attacks on Kyiv. At least 27 people have died in the capital, and Ukraine’s largest children’s hospital has been badly damaged. In total, about 40 people have died across the country.
