War in Ukraine
After successfully defeating several Ukrainian Su-27s on the ground, and then also a Mi-24 helicopter, on July 3, the Russians attacked the Ukrainian Air Force’s Dolgintsevo airbase in Kryvyi Rih.
As in previous attacks on July 1 and 2, a Russian reconnaissance drone appeared near the airbase. The drone flew in the base area without any disturbances (it probably remained undetected) and made it possible to identify and locate targets. It detected a MiG-29 fighter undergoing maintenance at the base, as well as a Su-25 on the battlefield. Both devices were under a roof. However, there was a large-scale model of a Su-25 under the open sky.
The attack was again carried out using Iskander missiles. The Russians officially claim to have destroyed one MiG-29, and the video shows a clear explosion where the plane was parked. The campaign to attack Ukrainian air bases appears to be ongoing and may have just begun to develop.
