The Ukrainian Truth website reported that the Ukrainian delegation left Kyiv for the Białywiga Forest, where the second round of talks with Russia will be held. It was not known exactly where the meeting would be held.
The talks are scheduled to take place in the Białowiea Forest, which straddles the Polish-Belarus border. The meeting will be held near Brest.
At the same time, the Russian media, referring to the conversation with Vladimir Medinsky, head of the Russian delegation and adviser to Vladimir Putin, reported that A Russian delegation arrived at the talks.
The Ukrainians are on their way from Kyiv and are due to arrive Thursday morning. During the meeting, the topic was, among other things, a ceasefire.
The first round of talks took place on the Pripyat River in Belarus, near the border with Ukraine.
The Ukrainian side was represented by: Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov, Adviser to the President Mykhailo Podolak, and Deputy Foreign Minister Mykola Tochiki. The delegation also included deputies: the head of the ruling faction of the Servant of the People David Arashamiya, Andrei Kostin, who represented Ukraine at the talks on regulating the situation in the Donbass, and Rustam Omirov.
Russia sent Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudinka, Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov, Deputy Leonid Soki and Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin to the talks. Medinsky was the head of the delegation.
