Ukrainian media: Russian general, commander of the elite division, was killed

A photo of a dead man in a green uniform and a helmet on his head was posted on the Telegraf website. It was explained that in 2015 he led Russian forces in the invasion of Donbass in eastern Ukraine.

The information was confirmed by the NEXTA portal, which posted on Twitter an official photo of General Mityaggio. “Russian major general was killed. General Oleg Mitaev was the commander of the 150th division with automatic rifles,” she wrote.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Center for Combating Disinformation in the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine announced that eight Russian soldiers from the highest military command of the Russian Federation have been killed in Ukraine since the start of the war.
