HBO Max yesterday presented the first full trailer for “Velma,” the first installment of the “Scooby-Doo” movie, which was met with a string of negative reviews. Now the story is available and viewers are criticizing the production with harsh words.
A few weeks ago, the movie “Wednesday” debuted on Netflix, to the delight of viewers and the record-breaking solo show from “The Addams Family” received a lot of positive reviews. HBO Max, which premiered two episodes of “Velma” today, cannot count on such positive reviews and will find plenty of negative comments on social media.
Viewers highlight several problems in the animated series – “Velma” changes the main characters, focuses on the sexuality of the characters, parodies some of the actors and approaches the themes presented in a very stereotypical way.
“Wonderful just wonderful
But for a worst series nominee for 2023 at the start of the year, I’m smitten. I don’t even want to criticize this shit that feels like She-hulk when you watch it
I’m looking forward to the rest of the episodes, though these two episodes are enough #Velma shit.”

“Make the black drug addict and the only white person in the group a misogynistic idiot. Representation matters!!! :3 Also, I love that Daphne is a dumb, rich, famous girl. Just classic team antics. They really did it.”

“Just watched a movie with tears oh my god in my eyes. The plot, the plots, the characters, the dynamics, the drama, the lore, the emotional moments… it was all rubbish from start to finish. I’m on my way to the hospital, it’s the worst show I’ve ever seen.”

The only worse remake/reboot/spin-off of Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe to come out in the past decade is the new Velma on HBO Max. Why use a known IP at all if you’re just going to change all the source material to do your thing? Then do something original.”

Many viewers point this out The problem is not only in the characters, but in the plot itself or the dialogues – Although you will also find opinions that some of the jokes are funny. However, it is easy to see that extremely negative opinions about the production of HBO Max prevail.
It should be noted that viewers can currently watch only two episodes.
