The 35-year-old took a knife from a pub in Vienna’s Brigittenau district and then attacked random pedestrians in the street. On Tuesday, police said four people were injured. The victims of the attack are two women and two men, neither of whom is in danger.
The Austrian suspect has been arrested. “After an initial investigation, a political or religious motive was deemed unlikely,” the police stressed, adding that they had already identified the perpetrator, who was likely to have mental health problems.
