When is Shrek 5 in theaters? We know the date
DreamWorks Animation, which is working on the animated film “Shrek 5,” revealed the premiere date via social media. The cartoon will be in theaters on July 1, 2026. Mark your calendars. By the way, it has been confirmed that Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz, known from the original, i.e. Shrek, his friend Donkey and Princess Fiona, will be returning to their roles. The animated film, which follows the adventures of the titular ogre (Mike Myers), who is hired by Lord Farquard (John Lithgow) to rescue a princess imprisoned in a castle and unexpectedly finds love, has won awards, among others. In the following years, other parts of the series were released: “Shrek 2” (2004), “Shrek the Third” (2007) and “Shrek Forever” (2010), as well as spin-off films in which Puss in Boots starred (in the original language version, he was voiced by Antonio Banderas, in the Polish version we can hear Wojciech Malajkat) – “Puss in Boots” (2011) and “Puss in Boots: The Last Wish” (2022). In addition to “Shrek 5”, there are also plans for a spin-off film about Donkey.
