Will Smith comments on the attack on Chris Rock at the Oscars. “I lost consciousness”
After nearly four months of silence, Will Smith posted a video on Instagram in which he answered netizens’ questions about the infamous incident during this year’s Oscars. The actor apologized to Chris Rock for slapping him at the Dolby Theater.

Will Smith comments on the Oscar-winning incident: I was shocked

At first, the question was why Smith didn’t apologize to Rock in his thank-you speech after receiving an Academy Award for his role in “King Richard.” Then she was stunned. I remember the whole situation as if it was in the fog – explains the star – I tried to contact Chris. I got a message that he was not ready for an interview. When he is, he will let me know. I want to tell you, Chris, I’m sorry. My behavior was unacceptable and I will see you whenever I want. I want to apologize to Chris’ mother. I saw an interview with her. I didn’t realize how many people I hurt at that moment. I want to apologize to Chris’ mother, I want to apologize to Chris’ family for the special Tony Rock. We had a wonderful relationship. Tony Rock was my man. It may not be fixed anymore.

Another user wanted to know if Rock’s slap was a reaction to Jada Pinkett Smith’s outrageous expression after the comedian made an unfortunate joke about her hairstyle. I made the decision myself, based on my own experience with Chris. Jada had nothing to do with him Smith assured him before he turned to his wife. I’m sorry, darling. I want to apologize to my children and family for the campaign you have launched against all of us.

Smith concluded by saying: I am human and I made a mistake. I try not to consider myself a piece of bullshit. I know my behavior made people feel awful. I know it was shocking. However, I promise you that I just want to give the world light, love and joy. If you wait, I promise we can be friends again.

Will Smith was banned from the Oscars

Recall: In April, the Board of Directors of the American Film Academy announced that Will Smith had been denied entry to the Academy Awards for 10 years. The management decision penalizes the star’s behavior at this year’s Dolby Theater celebration. Here one of the presenters, comedian Chris Rock, indulged in an unfortunate joke about Smith’s wife, Jade Pinkett Smith. The seemingly innocent joke refers to the disease the actress suffers from. Furious at the rocker’s words, Smith entered the stage and punched the comedian in the face. Ironically, the “I’m a Legend” star reappeared upon landing to earn an Oscar for his leading role in “King Richard: The Victorious Family.”
