Steam will most likely prevent players from rolling back older game versions.
In sporadic situations, players are forced to go back to previous versions of the games, for example to be able to continue the game with one save. This option has almost always been available on Steam, but it looks like recent updates to the Valve platform will remove it permanently.
According to pcgamesn.com, the latest Steam beta has added a feature that prevents users from rolling back older versions of games. Many people are not satisfied with this change, because, like many recipients, interested parties often spent more time in the previous version of Euro Truck Simulator 2, so that mod authors could adapt their “extras” to the latest SCS update.
The creator of the popular SteamDB site – Pavel Djundik noticed the change described above. The author is rarely wrong, so we can assume that the prevention of restoring older versions of games will come into effect with the next Steam updates.
