The hosts continued to dominate. In the 16th minute, Bartosz Jarocz almost took advantage of the confusion in the penalty area, but his shot was blocked. The same player then headed a corner kick but the ball went wide. However, there were not many clear-cut situations. Wisła played well in midfield, where they managed to maintain possession, but their subsequent attacking attempts were often blocked outside the penalty area.

In the 41st minute, Kess ran into the visitors’ penalty area and was illegally stopped by Philippe Azango. The referee consulted VAR and decided on the starting lineup. Rodado got close to the ball and opened the scoring in the 43rd minute with a powerful shot. Wisla made up for half of the first match’s losses before the break.

The start of the second half was quite quiet. The Slovak team made two changes and in the first ten minutes or so looked a little better than in the first half. The visitors played more accurately and fought for the ball more aggressively, and as a result the match became even.

The home side turned the first dangerous situation after the break into a goal. Mark Carbo played from deep to Piotr Starzynski as he ran into the penalty area. Martin Mikovic got lost in the situation, the ball bounced off his head, a Wisla player picked it up and headed it straight into the net past the running out Ziege Frele. At this point, the Cracow side had levelled the two-legged tie.

The joy of the Wisla players was evident. Angel Rodado had two chances to increase the score. In the first match, he lost a one-on-one with the opposing goalkeeper. Later, he shot from an acute angle with such force that Freile, who was hit by the ball, had to seek medical attention. Three times a charm? Not this time. In the 74th minute, Rodado found himself in an advantageous position again, but his shot was blocked for a corner kick.

The end of the match saw Wisla attack the opponent’s goal. In the 84th minute, Rafael Mikulik shot a ball from outside the penalty area, but Frehle managed to clear the ball. Later, the visitors defended very successfully, and in extra time, they even created a threat in front of the hosts’ goal, but Azango missed the goal.

The score remained 2-0 until the end, which meant extra time. It started with a delay of several minutes due to medical assistance for a photojournalist. When the match resumed, Wisla still had the advantage, and in the 98th minute they confirmed it with a goal. Angel Rodado took a corner kick, after a cross from the right, Alan Orega got past the opposing goalkeeper and headed the ball into the net to make it 3-0.

The second half of extra time did not have enough time to start and the Slovak team scored their first goal of the match. After the free kick the ball reached the left side for Philippe Azango who ran into the penalty area and passed it to Michal Duris who completed the formalities with a shot from a few meters.

Wisla could have responded in the 112th minute. A counterattack by the home team and Rafał Mikulec found himself in a one-on-one with the goalkeeper but he couldn’t capitalize on the attack. Three minutes later, an exchange of passes inside the visitors’ penalty area ended with a missed shot from Rodado. In the 118th minute, Angel Baena sent the ball into the opponent’s net but the referee disallowed the goal for offside.

The score remained unchanged and the winner was decided on penalties. They gave great emotions, as it took fourteen series to choose the winner. At first, players from both teams made some mistakes, but later they succeeded in applying the eleven for a long time. Bartosz Jarosz scored in the decisive round, and after a while Kamil Broda saved Sebastian Kos’ shot.
