“The Challengers” – what do we know about the project?
The protagonist of the film is Tashi (Zendaya), a former tennis player and currently a coach. Thanks to the efforts of the woman, her husband Art turned from an ordinary player into a world champion. Unfortunately, he had a bad streak for some time. To break that, Tashi signed him up for the Challenger Championship. On the field, the guy will have to face Patrick – who was once a promising player, his ex-boyfriend and Tashi candidate.
The scriptwriter is Justin Koretzkes. The shooting is expected to start in March.
Luca Guadagnino – How do we know him?
Luca Guadagnino is the author of films like “Melissa P.” and “I am love” and “The Insatiable”. He was most famous for the Oscar-nominated melodrama “Tamte dni, tamte noce”. Check out the trailer:
His next work was “Suspiria”, a remake of Dario Argento’s horror film. He made the “This Is What We Are” series for HBO GO. Bones & All starring Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell is currently in post-production.
Where can we see Zendaya?
Zendaya began her career in the Disney series – “Rules of Dance”, “Teenage Agent”. He has appeared in films such as “The King of Entertainment” and “Malcolm and Mary”. She played MJ, Peter Parker’s friend in the movies with Tom Holland. At the end of last year, two shows with her participation appeared on the screens. They were “Dunes” by Denis Villeneuve, in which she played Chaney, and “Spider-Man: No Way Home”. We can currently see her in the second season of “Euphoria”, where she embodies the role of Rue Bennett.
