Jacek Zieliński gave an interview about Legia Warszawa’s transfer window. In an interview with Przegląd Sportowy, the sporting director did not hide the fact that the situation was far from perfect.
During the summer transfer window, Legia Warszawa is undergoing reconstruction. A new coach and football players who will decide the next chapter in the history of “military” appeared in the Polish capital.
At the same time, there are many criticisms regarding the movements made by the Warsaw Club. Many fans claim that Legia did not make any successful transition that would help in the struggle for the highest goals.
Commentary on this situation was provided by Jacek Zieliński. The sports director of the Warsaw team spoke frankly about the recent events.
– My job is to build a stronger team and I have less money for it. It’s not easy, but I’m convinced I can do it anyway. I have to do some splits to get transfers, at the moment it looks like a procedure that will do well – He said in an interview with “Przegląd Sportowy”.
– There has been no offer to buy our players yet. It’s hard to find them after the season we played. In addition, in recent years, there have been a lot of transfers, we have sold those that have value, while not creating others from the pool of transfer players, or from among our students – Zieliński added.
At the same time, the activist does not hide the fact that this is due to many years of neglect. In his opinion, Legia’s crisis is not the result of a few recent mistakes.
– The crisis does not come overnight. We had to work hard for what set us up. The results of many cases are camouflaged. Fortunately, we were able to maintain, and I think from season to season, we will build a stable Legia, which will be less prone to such fluctuations. – summed up.
Before the start of the 2022/23 season, five new players joined “Wojskowe”. Mike Norocki was also purchased from Werder Bremen.
